Arrest made after motorbike crash in Buckingham which left man with serious leg injuries

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a crash in Buckingham which left a man with serious leg injuries.

At around 4.40am on Friday, a grey Honda Hornet motorcycle collided with a wall in Bridge Street.

The motorcyclist, a 24-year-old man, sustained serious leg injuries and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital for treatment where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

The rider of a second motorcycle which was present at the scene of the collision, a 19-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol.

He has been bailed until August 2.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw two motorcycles in the Buckingham town centre area at approximately 4.30am to4.40am this morning, or anyone who witnessed the incident.
