Three competitions have been launched in Brackley this week with the aim of encouraging young people to be creative.
Brackley Fringe Festival is organising the contests for poetry, art and story-telling.
Winning entries will be on display throughout the festival to be held on August 2 and 3. Summer Days is the theme for the poetry section which has three age categories, five to eight years, nine to 12 and 13 to 16. Entries can be any length.
The art theme is ‘Festival’ and is open to five to eight year-olds, nine to 11-year-olds, 12-14-year-olds and 15-16-year-olds. Entries should be no bigger than A3.
The story-telling contest is for a 500-word story entitled My Big Day Out and entry is open to five to eight years, nine to 12 and 13-16. For tips and where to send your entries, by May 2, go to www.brackleyfringefestival.co.uk.
