With heavy rain expected over the weekend, Transport for Bucks will be doubling the standby gangs from four to eight (extra gangs will be Amersham and High Wycombe).

On Saturday their tree surgeon subcontractor will be on standby with three crews along with gulley emptying and Super Sucker crews.

TfB will be operating from three depots across the county – Aylesbury, Amersham and High Wycombe.

The crews will be focusing on clearing as much surface water flooding as possible, and keeping as many roads open as possible. Motorists are urged to drive with care on all roads.

Heavy showers and gale force winds with gusts of up to 50mph are expected throughout Saturday, and TfB crews will be on alert to deal with any surface water flooding or fallen trees and branches.

Lighter showers are forecast for Sunday.
