Santa has a new ’mobile home’, after Buckingham Table decided the old house on the Santa Float was beyond repair, having served the community for over 10 years.
Buckingham Table chairman Kevan Ramanauckis said: “The rebuild has taken up most weekends over the past five months.
“Then we had to remove and dismantle the old house, recruit a team of volunteers led by Phil Davies and his father-in-law, who have toiled in all weathers to create a new home for Father Christmas.
“He moves in this coming Saturday, hence we can continue the great work of fundraising for local charities and groups this Christmas.”
The new house will have its first outing aboard the Santa Float at the Buckingham lights switch-on event in the town centre on Saturday.
The Santa Float will be doing its usual rounds of villages and estates, starting on Tuesday, December 15.
Some new venues are being included this year, due to demand and Buckingham’s expansion.
