In the run-up to this year’s Herts Open Studios in September, a group of Dacorum-based artists is holding a charity sale of original small artworks.
The artists’ work includes paintings, encaustic wax, textiles, glass, photography, ceramics, print, jewellery and sculpture.
It will be shown, together with larger pieces submitted by artists participating in Herts Open Studios in Dacorum,at the Upstairs Gallery above the Post Office in Berkhamsted High Street.
The proceeds of the sale will be donated to DENS, a charity which helps provide a safe and friendly environment to vulnerable and homeless people within the Dacorum area.
The exhibition and sale runs from August 17 to 29, giving people an opportunity to see the work of many local artists and to meet several of them prior to the opening of their studios to the general public during the Open Studios event, from September 5 to 27.
The gallery, is a non-profit-making contemporary gallery supporting local artists and makers and the DENS charity, is open from 10am to 4pm, Tuesday to Saturday.
