Three Buckingham musicians will be giving the first ever performance of the first movement of a clarinet quintet begun by Mozart tonight, Saturday, at the Church of St James, Bierton.
Paul Harris and Gillian and Robert Secret will perform with Tamaki Higashi and Julian Metzger on cello in Tim Jones’s completion of the work at 7.30pm.
The concert is part of the Music in Quiet Places series.
This will be the first time the music – written two years before the well-known clarinet quintet – will have been heard.
The concert also includes a Duo for viola and cello by Danzi, Haydn’s String Quartet ‘The Bird’ and the romantic clarinet quintet by Robert Fuchs.
There is a village walk from the church at 6.30pm and the local ticket agent is Rev Mark Ackford on 01296 424466.
