MONEY: Fees and charges will be under the spotlight at next Tuesday’s Northants County Council cabinet meeting.
Charges for the council’s archives and heritage, countryside, libraries and registration services are reviewed annually to ensure they represent value for money and to help meet the ongoing financial challenges being faced by the council.
A cabinet report putting forward a mixture of proposals will be considered by cabinet and if approved, will see some charges increase, some remain at current levels, and a number of services that were previously free or subsidised by the authority incur a small fee.
Internet use for job seekers on Fridays and access to historical records will remain free.
