Woman injured in assault

A 43-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was assaulted in Ambrosden last month.

The woman was in Briar Furlong, at around 2.15am on July 19, when she was assaulted by a man, leading to swelling to her head and face and bruising to her body.

She was taken to Horton General Hospital in Banbury for treatment and has since been discharged.

It is thought the victim was spoken to by a member of the public at around the time of the assault and police are particularly keen to speak to this person.

He is about 5ft 6ins, around 16 to 17-years-old, with blonde hair swept over to one side. He was wearing a black top and was walking along the hedge lined walkway past the houses towards the main road in Ambrosden.
