The search is on for Northants Community Pub of the Year!
The Carlsberg UK Northants Food and Drink Awards are underway and people have until May 19 to nominate their favourite watering hole for the Community Pub of the Year category.
Previous winners include The George, at Tiffield, and The George and Dragon, at Chacombe.
The category, which is sponsored by Pidy UK recognises those pubs which are at the heart of their community.
People who want to nominate their local, can download a form from the awards website www.northamptonshirefoodanddrink.co.uk or they can call the awards office on 01933 664437.
Once a nomination is received, the nominated pub is contacted and they are invited to enter the awards for free.
Chris Peverell, co-owner of last year’s winner The George and Dragon, said following the win, the pub did well and saw an increase in trade of around 20 per cent.
