Silverstone Circuit will be opening the pit lane to fans on the Thursday before the British Grand Prix for the first time to mark a special anniversary.
This year marks the 50th Grand Prix to be held at the circuit and Formula 1 fans holding a three-day ticket to the British Grand Prix will be able to gain access to the pit lane, giving them a chance to see the teams and drivers prepare for the big race.
There will be five pit lane walkabouts over the course of the day. A limited number of tickets are available for each walkabout and will be allocated on the day. Further details will be announced in due course. Tickets are not available in advance of the day.
Richard Phillips, Silverstone’s managing director said: “Our loyal fans are incredibly important to us and we are constantly looking at ways to give them an even better experience. The introduction of Fans’ Thursday is part of our plan to make our 50th celebrations really special”.
The British Grand Prix weekend runs from July 4 to 6. For tickets, visit www.silverstone.co.uk for more information or call 0844 3728 300.
