The Grumpy Bakers of Twyford were pictured on Tuesday night preparing the sourdough bread for sale in Twyford’s community-run Village Stores on Wednesday.
The store received Lottery funding for volunteers Charlie Massey, Trevor Norrey and Linda Wildman to attend a two-day training course at the School of Artisan Food in Worksop, Notts, with master of French baking Mickael Jahan.
The team use old-fashioned methods of bread production, including sourdough breads with long rising times.
Mr Massey said: “The sourdough culture and this slow process makes all the nutrients in the bread available and makes it more digestible.”
Fresh bread from the Grumpy Bakers is on sale in Twyford Village Stores on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
