Increasing demand for new homes to be met

Housebuilder Persimmon Homes Midlands, which operates in Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire, say they have made a ‘strong start’ to 2013 with an increased demand for new homes.

The company has seen a 15 per cent increase in visitors to their developments and 30 per cent increase in weekly private sales reservations from 2012, as well as making a 40 per cent increase in profits since last year.

In the first half of the year, the company successfully opened 90 new sites, and plans to open 85 more before the end of the year,

The company has acquired over 7,500 new plots of land during the first six months of the year.

Persimmon is also looking to create new jobs with a recruitment drive for over 100 trade apprentices to join the company, as well as a programme for new hires in technical, managerial and sales positions across the company.
