Two major country shows are coming up this month.
The Friends of Winslow Health Centre and Norden House Surgery are having a stall at the Winslow Show on Bank Holiday Monday, and they’re asking for donations of tombola prizes.
Donated items can be left at the surgery, on Avenue Road, or call Sue Keane on 01296 713106 for collection.
At the Bucks County Show on Thursday, August 29, Bucks County Council’s stall will take the form of a living room made up of other people’s throw-away furniture and household goods, as part of its drive to get people thinking about what they do with their old household items.
Visitors can sit on reused sofas for a cup of tea, and even buy the furniture there and then to take home with them.
Transport for Bucks will also be taking its We’re Working On it roadshow to the show.
