People across north Bucks are being asked to nominate their local in the 2013 Aylesbury Vale Village Pub of the Year Awards.
Nominations close on May 17, and finalists will feature in a village pub guide circulated around the district.
Last year’s award was won by the Unicorn Inn in Cublington near Whitchurch.
Manager Tim Harwood said: “It really is great to receive recognition for the commitment and many hours of hard work that the team as a whole contribute to the successful running of the business.
“Winning the award has been a real boost to the business, which continues to grow and develop.
“These are really exciting times at The Unicorn.”
The competition is supported by Aylesbury Vale District Council (AVDC).
Councillor David Thompson, AVDC’s lead member for leisure, called on residents to nominate their local for the award.
He added: “To win an award will be a mark of quality that will bring real prestige to that individual pub.”

The competition is sponsored by Aylesbury-based drinks wholesaler Dayla.
Dayla’s managing director, Tim Cooper, said the area had many first-class establishments.
