The University of Buckingham’s spring schedule of concerts and lectures kicks off next week with a performance of clarinet classics.
Distinguished international pianist Peter Hewitt returns to the Radcliffe Centre, in Buckingham, with international prize-winning clarinettist David Kirby at 12.30pm on Wednesday, April 17.
The duo will play lyrical sonatas by Saint-Saëns and Poulenc and the delightful Five Bagatelles by English composer Gerald Finzi.
For more than 20 years, David Kirby has given recitals throughout Britain, Europe and America. He has presented world premiere performances of works including three by Brian Chapple.
Peter Hewitt plays solo piano music, chamber music and Lieder. Over the last 20 years, he has played an average of 60 concerts each season, in the UK, America and the Middle East.
