A member of the Bucks Business First group has helped launch a new wireless speaker based on Dr Who’s space-travelling time machine, the TARDIS.
WhoSounds, the company formed to manufacture and market the speaker, was set up by entrepreneur Karl Grimsey.
Bucks Business First member Terry Kirkham, of business consultancy The Business Gardener, got involved to help solve funding problems along with a group of enthusiastic local investors.
The first units are due to be shipped early next month.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of Dr Who, and fans are already keen to get their hands on the speakers.
More than a third of the first shipment has already been pre-sold, and retailer Forbidden Planet is due to feature the product.
